LYNN BAXTER
As an abstract painter and sculptor with a wide practice and interests, I work in a number of media, including wood and metal. I love industrial landscapes, the abstraction of letter forms, found materials, the old crafts, the written word.
My earlier career includes publishing, theatre, arts- and public art- administration, serving with charitable and public bodies.
I hold a first class BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, the University of Dundee, where I received two awards, including the Alastair Smart Memorial Prize for sculpture. I have an MA in English Literature and Language from the University of Edinburgh and also studied at Ruskin College, Oxford, the University of Warwick and Dundee College.
I now live and work in Somerset.
